Sailing
Campers entering 3rd grade and above will experience a sailing lesson over the first two weeks of camp. Our sailing instructors will teach the philosophies of sailing as well as familiarize each camper with sailing terms and equipment. Campers can test their skills on our buoyed reggata course or just take a boat ride with our instructor.
During a 3 week session, campers can choose this activity as part of our Choice Week ( week 3) option at least twice.
Sailing is conducted at the San Pablo Reservoir in Orinda. All campers wear life jackets and sail with an instructor unless they have demonstrated the ability to sail by themselves or with a fellow camper. All aquatic activities are highly supervised by our aquatics director who is life guard certified.
